Work times on this page are for warehouses or warehouse modules in which items or cases are stored
in bins or boxes. They are picked
individually. Table 1 shows times and components for a warehouse or module
of 20000 bin boxes. For larger or smaller warehouses, table 2 extends the total time found in table 1.
Time values come from the Warehouse Modernization & Layout Planning Guide, NS529. They were derived using a pre-determined time system (probably MTM). They are reasonably accurate for the purposes specified.
